Compo Havanese     

 Please contact us at deb@compohavanese.com if you are interested in a Compo Havanese puppy and to request an application.   If we have puppies or are expecting a litter, after your initial contact, we will e-mail the application form to you and then we will give you a call after we receive back the completed form.  Please make sure you give us your evening home phone number in the form below when you request the application form.

Compo Havanese is located in beautiful Westport, Connecticut, about a one-hour train or car ride from New York City.  Westport is also easily accessible to Greenwich, Westchester, Long Island, Northern New Jersey, Rhode Island and parts of Massachusetts.

At Compo Havanese, we are very selective when it comes to who will potentially own a Compo Havanese puppy.  We want to make sure that there will be a good fit and ask that you complete an application before we talk by phone, please.  

We will not ship a puppy under any circumstances so please do not ask.  All Compo Havanese puppies are placed as companion pets with AKC limited registration under a spay/neuter contract which is strictly enforced.  We do not place puppies in homes with children under the age of five.

We support Havanese Rescue.  If you are looking for an adult Havanese, this might be a good place for you to start your search.  In addition, if you are looking for supplies for your Havanese, such as great brushes, toys, etc., please check Havanese Rescue's HavToHavIt store first at www.havtohavit.com. 

The breed, Havanese, is the only AKC-recognized breed that originated from Cuba and there is no such AKC breed known as a Havana Silk Dog (HSD).  Those who are trying to "create" the HSD are breeding from the exact same dogs that the original and only Havanese Breed originated from.  Don't be fooled!
